He watched them from upon a cliff, hidden by distance and clouded by nature.
One after another, the King's men marched along a vague 'road' leading from the ruins.
He had encountered them by luck, having attempted meditation just outside of the area but unable to focus completely due to constantly changing winds, he had gone to leave the area in disappointment only to see the dust-storm of marching soldiers advancing in his direction.
Not looking for a fight with his mind cluttered, Taj bolted up the side of a near-by cliff to lay low 'till they passed-by - and that's when he saw the crate with the King's seal.
"What interest does the King have in the ruins ?, there's nothing but pots n' pans there, it's not even in his land".
The wind picked-up swiftly and blew at his back, "...You want me to follow them ?, is that it?". The wind blew again, seemingly stronger. Taj breathed in deep, letting the cold-air sink in, and exhaled, a determined look appeared on his face.
"Alright, track The King's Men it is"
This awesome speed-paint I commissioned from
talbaine, of Taj as he watches a convoy leave some near-by ruins. There was supposed to be a much larger version for my personal-keep, but unfortunately it was accidentally saved over by the artist when sending files around to other commissioners, and this size is all that's left - but fortunately a nicer piece may be in the works for the future, we'll have to see.
Taj himself, The King's Men, and the ruins themselves all have a deeper-story I want to share one day, but I'm still fighting this depression and illness and all the other "fun" things I'm having to deal with right now...
Soon, hopefully soon, I'll be my old inspired self again.

Thank-you, it does seem to appear that way - huh ?, I believe all the little character details I've added over-time are seeing light as I become more descriptive in commission requests/descriptions, but it seems to be a double-edged sword, the more detail I want - the higher the price *Homer "d'oh!"*
