I am lucky enough to have been invited to join a local Shadowrun game. Since this was a long running group with veteran players and characters, I decided I would write up something a bit different.

For those of you who are not familiar, Shadowrun is a game set in the near future (2074 or so). The world is radically different. Many governments have collapsed, ceding much of their power to massive, international corporations. In this dark, cyberpunk future, magic returned to the world. Many people's bodies were twisted, mostly into now common races such as dwarves, orcs, trolls, and elves. Shadowy teams, known as Shadowrunners, perform illegal jobs for cash, doing what corporations, or those fighting them, can't.

A more recent phenomenon was another wave of changed people, known as Changelings. Most of these were twisted into unique shapes and forms. Many were given animalistic attributes, though some were given far more bizarre mutations. Slate, my character, is a changeling who was shaped by magic into the form of an anthro Rabbit. She's an infiltrator, specializing in getting into areas, scouting, shotguns, and martial arts. Her back story is shrouded in mist (for now), but it's clear that she takes her name from the coloration of her fur, which seems uniquely suited to blending into darkness.

The GM is  teiran who has been doing an excellent job. The art comes from one of my fellow players,  dook, who plays an elven adept, a mystic swordsman. How mystic? Last session he stabbed a helicopter to death with a sword.
