This picture of my fursona was actually a gift from a friend of mine on Fa, but looking at it I was wondering why not make it into a badge? To date this is one of my favorite pictures of Kayko as well as being the most accurate so far, and making it into a badge made a lot of sense. The only problem was the name. The picture didn't come with "Kayko" underneath it. and having no digital illustration software I couldn't add the name in on the computer. I finally realized the solution. Being that I do a lot of painting I have a lot of paint lying around. So I scribbled up a vague idea of what I wanted his name to look like.
I had originally intended them to just be sketchy red letters on a brown background, then cam the white outlining, and gradually the letters became more stylized. This may be vaguely inspired by the "Cocacola" emblem, but I used no references when painting this out. It took about a half hour total and is totally free hand painted directly onto photo paper.
