I'm in North Dakota myself. We get quite a bit of snow too, and it's pretty cold here. No mountains though. =P Hills, yes, but the only mountains we get around here are either off in Montana to the west, or an optical illusion with funky shaped clouds. Not so good for downhill skiing.

I don't like winter much either. The cold always makes me think of loneliness, and there's times I need someone to snuggle with. v.v Which is a bad thing when you're single.

LOL, a cold front swept into Ohio here, dropping 2 to 4 inches of snow, an it's 14F degrees right now, an it is expected to get down to 4f degrees overnight.

I sympathize: here in Québec, we have been buried under snow since the final week of November -- and I do mean buried.

One of the 2 main male characters in the webcomic is supposed to be a dojinshi or amateur manga artist. "Sad girl in the snow" is a repeating subject in the character's art. He is sometimes teased for doing such soulful sad and romantic drawings.

This is a bolder color version of one of these images, as it is a design for a blanket (!) The typical image is more usually a gloomy, soft and sad, wind-swept pencil drawing.
