At long last, I'd like to introduce you to Ellis Cunningham, my 'sona. He's an Irish Setter with warm brown eyes and a silver tongue. He works as a free agent bartender, hopping around from place to place, party to party wherever he's needed. He thinks mixing drinks is an art; this combined with his love of people watching and his uncanny knack of getting people to spill their troubles to him makes bartending his dream job.
Ellis does have a few flaws: he can be unbearably verbose, has an incurable case of wanderlust, and often winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time just because he just had to find out what lay down that dark alleyway. In a horror film, he'd be among the first three to die.
He also has a habit of collecting random objects and stray people. It's all due to an old family geas: Fate will lead him by the nose to deliver things to people that need them, regardless if he (or they) know what it's for. One sunny afternoon he'll buy a pair of galoshes; three hours later his instincts lead him to a bus stop where he gives them to a bewildered young woman, three minutes after that it pours down rain. The longer he tries to ignore the Call, the more uncomfortable he gets, to the point of physical pain; but if he keeps up with it, he finds he has a little more luck than most.
I'll more than likely throw up a few stories about him later on.
