I started doodling and came up with the fuzzy water cat women, and some very stoic looking ram-men?
The more I've been looking at the more I have this zany idea to do a reinterpretation of the classic version of The Little Mermaid using these characters.
Not sticking to the exact details of the story, but to major events and themes - the youngest daughter making a traditional visit to a different land with different people than her home, an infatuation with someone generally out of reach, bargains with less than savory peoples and the ideas of misguided affections and sacrifice.

We'll see if anything come of it!
