Psychopomp is a Greek word literally meaning "guide of souls"

Azrael is the Angel of Death in several different religions.

I'm not sure if this is gona pan out or not but I got some sudden inspiration for an interesting My Little Pony fancomic staring Princess Luna and this little cutie right here. Why Princess Luna? Many stories depict the god/dess of the moon as the same as the god/dess of death or as a "ferry man" figure.

Abilities:
Earth: Like all spirits she can "fly," which is more like floating then flying, and she is invisible. She can not interact with those on the living plane unless she exerts a LOT of energy.
Other-world: She can shift her shape to make interacting with souls easier. The flames on her back shift from normal flames, to blue flames, to hell-fire green.

Her job is to guide the souls of the recently departed to the other-world where Princess Luna reads there hearts and passes judgment. The guilty are sent for there punishment while the innocent are given there paradise. Azrael then becomes both warden to the guilty and guardian to the innocent, ensuring nothing interferes with either.
