On Saturday afternoon, Heaven opened its doors to my dog Skip, who had an enlarged heart problem.
Skip was the kind of dog that always whined and bark when I would come home from college. Even at his old age, he still had the energy of a puppy like when we first got him. When I would stop petting him, he would push his head underneath my arm and lean on me and look up at me and give a deep growl type noise before falling asleep on my lap.
He watched me and my family grow as we watched him grow. My mother cremated him and is putting some of his ashes in a necklace for me and sending it to me.

As I write this, I'm crying my eyes out, knowing that when I go home to see my mom and her fiance, I wont be hearing the clacks of his claws hitting the floor tiles, or hearing him run around the house looking for me as we play hide and seek, or go on any more walks with him, or see him chase deer or rabbits and catch them but letting them go cause he doesnt know what to do with them.

RIP Skip, I hope someday we will be reunited again.
