More HDR stuff from South Haven. I like the look of the clouds a lot more in this, but I don't like the look of the clear sky. It was more of an orange when I was there, but I couldn't get Photomatix to work with me on that one :( Ah, oh well. At least it isn't clown vomit HDR. Seriously, I was playing with the settings, and some of the presets were just awful.
This one is on the other side of the pier from the one previously uploaded. You can see part of the side of the lighthouse that is frozen (the whole side facing the lake is covered in ice). *sigh* I love Lake Michigan. A huge freshwater body like this is awesome to have nearby... except for lake effect snow. Seriously: we get an insane amount of snow from the lake. If you go about 40 miles east of us, they have absolutely no snow, while we're under 2 1/2 feet of it from one week of snow. Ugh.

Thank you... I think. I don't know exactly what you mean by 'Totally Fake CGI effects.' It obvious the photo doesn't come like that out of the camera, but it isn't like I made it like this (link).
As for the ice, a lot of the lighthouses on the Great Lakes get like that in the winter because the water freezes so easily (relative to saltwater). You should see the photos people get after storms.
