Eleanor Rigby - "Like, Go Minutemen!"
Eleanor Rigby
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 136 lbs.
Position: G
Teams Played For:
Williamsburg Minutemen (2008-present)
"Let's go, everyone! We can, like, do it, y'know!!!"
"Whoa, what'd Eleanor put in her granola this morning?" - Otto Okkonen (Dragon, F/C, WIL) upon seeing Eleanor so bouncily encouraging her teammates.
Eleanor Rigby is, to put it mildly, a bit of an enigma. She has an eccentric hippie style that sometimes confuses people. She wears a tie-dye headband while playing, different from the rest of her teammates. Off court, she's rarely seen without rose-colored glasses on her nose.
Sometimes, she's seen meditating, reflecting on many things. When she speaks, she's deliberate and slow, usually when giving interviews. But when it comes to her teammates, she supports them 100% with a bouncy, encouraging demeanor.
"I try to stay encouraging and, like, want everyone else to do the same. Positive energy is good for our family. It, like, keeps order in the universe," she explains.
The Minutemen thought she showed enough promise to take her with the fourth pick of the 2008 FBA Draft. SHe backed up second-year point guard Teo Masalia (Black Panther, PG, WIL). However, during the disastrous 2009-10 season, she wasn't able to turn the team's fortunes around when given the starting job mid-season by her coach, Morgan Roosevelt (Raccoon, HC, WIL).
The doe decided to re-sign with the club when they offered her a seven-year deal, despite the fact that the team would draft Vera La Tiérra (Red Vixen, PG, WIL) with the #1 pick. She continued to grow in the bench role, her calm, unflappable demeanor helping her accomplish what she needed to do on the court.
She views her team as her family. It's extended family, but one that's special to her nonethless.
