I am not a hoarder!
....Ok, maybe a bit. But really, in this chaotic world (er, ship) you can't help but think on a thing and say "hmm, I might need that" or "I might want to read that later" or "it still seems fresh".
But I am not a hoarder! Seriously, I'm cleanly
ish. I've gotten rid of a lot of stuff and moved it around but there always seems to be more left than when I started. I guess that's where the whole "out of sight, out of mind" saying comes in. SO, I keep the important, new stuff....and stuff the old stuff in storage containers till I figure out what to do with it.
I know we have bots for these things, but honestly...who doesn't want people messing with their stuff. Especially when they can report to a big cybernetic brain.

Oooh neat!.....then again...a lot of the stuff would burn up in the atmosphere....or it could be like dropping a penny off a really tall building and splitting something in half...or in this case, a ton of pennies. And nickles. And dimes.

You mean the Matter Depression tech? Yeah we have it...but it's high maintenance stuff. And the generally distributed tech has a store limit, and ALMA won't let me touch the big stuff.
