I made a set of earrings out of some IBC root beer bottlecaps after my fiance drank some after Christmas. I liked them a lot, and other people thought they were cute, so I decided to make more. I only have a few matching caps available at the moment, sadly, but 3 pairs is better than none. I'm going to be selling these at the convention saturday for $2 per pair. It was going to be $1, but then I remembered the fees and taxes and stuff and had to bump it up. Again, too much or too little?

I sell my earrings for two dollars at my table when I set up anywhere, so that's not a bad price. Going down to one would be selling yourself too short though, everyone is always telling me I need to raise my prices.
By the way, how do you put the holes in the bottle caps? I've been wanting to make earrings out of bottle caps for a long time now & just wasn't sure how. So I usually just make pie & flower necklaces with bottle caps.
I'd love to share tips if you're willing.

I bought a metal punch last year (two of them actually, in case one broke. then they both arrived with spare/replacement punch tips, so now I feel super prepared XD), and while it's hard to get a good angle on it, usually it works out okay. I don't think I've ever sold earrings before, so I'm glad $2 is okay. Like you, a lot of my customers and friends are constantly saying "charge more!" and I giggle.
I bet your tiny pies are adorable
I don't really have any tips . I just punched holes in 'em and added jumprings and earwires. Well, and I washed the caps first. don't want dried-up soda on the end product XP

Ah, I'll have to invest in one of those. I'm guessing it just takes practice, just like anything art related.
Yeah, depending on the complexity of what the earrings are $3 isn't bad either. Most of my earrings are made from beads.
I'll have to post a picture of some of them.
Haha, it's alright. I mean about any jewelry though. By the way, where do you get your tiny bottles from?
I recently was able to find some super tiny ones that I'll be using to make "wish necklaces/charms" by putting dandelion seeds in them. But other than that, I haven't been able to find any anywhere. Not big enough to actually put miniatures inside anyway. And the only ones I did find that were close were so expensive it didn't seem worth it.
