A few days ago I put Peaches through the full 90 minute cycle in my washing machine. Even though I'd been told it was safe, I have to admit I was still a bit nervous. The last time I washed her I propped her up in the shower and sprayed her all over with a jet of lukewarm water ( I have no bathtub ), a process that wasn't entirely effective and resulted in her dripping water all over the place for days.
This time I decided to do it right.
Full job - fabric softner, detergent, the spin cycle set to its lowest ( 400 a minute ), and the temperature set to 'cool wash'.
For safety I placed her inside a duvet sheet for the trip.
Anyway, she's lovely and clean now, her fur is nice and soft and she's all ready for CF in a few months.
Oh.... and in case anyone is wondering, NO, I didn't really put the head in there. Just the body. I'm not insane :P

Sine I only have the top washer here and even it's wool cycle is not that gentle I hand wash in three cycles in a tub.
I have a water pump to cycle the water and sometimes soak the suit for a few hours. I have a wash board also but I do not like using that on fur.
My washer is getting old and my next washer will be a front loader.
