Alright, I've got lots of explaining to do for this piece, because this is a character I've teased since November and who has been on my DA for a while and I'm only just releasing him now to FA.
Let me say first off that besides my ponies, Raikatsu is probably the most recent legitimate OC I have made for a series I'm into, and that's Graffiti Kingdom, the successor to Magic Pengel: The Quest for Color. Those of you who have not heard of this game, it and its predecessor were games in which you drew your own 3D characters and battled with them. Magic Pengel was a more Pokemon-esque turn based combat game in which your "Doodles" battled other ones, while Graffiti Kingdom was some parts RPG (leveling up) and some parts platformer, and you could not only draw 3D
"Graffiti Creatures" but also be them and give them set abilities. (Pengel, I think set abilities for you) While limited and, as I learned as I grew older, a bit annoying and cheesy, GK was a game I got a lot of replay value out of, more so in my younger days, but it wasn't until recently I decided to actually make an OC; a sort of anti-hero boss character to take up a stage in the game that was left with no boss, but his placement there made sense.
And then we come to Raikatsu, the "Thunder Sentinel" to "Mistress Palette." What we see here is his "casual form," an anthropomorphic body that stands about 9 feet high (I will be posting his actual "battle form" soon). Like I said on my DA, The boss himself (no surprise) is detachable, and seeing as he is rather large, he splits into three parts to fight Pixel, namely his head, front half (torso) and rear half (legs), and all three parts have different attacks. Like Deskel, he is aloof, prideful, and condescending, and often doesn't bother with the problems of those smaller than him. He serves at the guard to the entrance of Palette's Palace (meaning if he were in-game, he would be the boss of The Beast of the Lost Sea) and protects it from intruders. Despite following his orders, Raikatsu has a deep-seated hatred for Medium, considering him a power-hungry idiot, who doesn't take his world conquest seriously. Besides that, he also really hates it when Palette gives him attitude or acts like a brat.
That's his story as a Graffiti Kingdom OC, but I'm also thinking of including him in a possible story with Zarel and Kaylene that's been on my mind for a while, perhaps as a rival character to Zarel, both of them being "draconic controllers of the storm" (Zarel being of wind attribute and Raikatsu being if lightning attribute) or something.
