I imagine most people would be quite scared at first. But then, that's the "realist" in me looking at this as if rather than a fantasy, this could be the reality of that particular fictional character, and attributing realistic reactions to said fictional character under the notion that said drastic change would be pretty scary.

I try to steer away from that thinking, because it's less fun. And the picture was made for fun.
But yes. If something like this were to happen RIGHT now to someone I'm sure they'd freak out.

But this fiction toon transformation are uncommon but not unheard of. She more in the mind set of "Oh...I'm a toon now...I hope I'm not one of the crazy ones"

I guess I owe a little explanation.

I'm a guy with plenty of unusual fantasies, and sometimes I take a deconstructive view on them in an effort to look at them from a different angle, examining them more realistically. This then opens the door for reconstruction, basically making the fantasy work again.

Speaking of which, you provide an interesting reconstruction. Sure, getting transformed is freaky, but it's common enough that, well, people get used to it for the most part. Like George Carlin's comic speculation on people only dying by head explosions. We'd get used to it. Only in your case, it's not as gruesome. ^.^
