When Maggie was summoned to the Duchess's office the next day, she was placed coincidentally right in front of Skaine. Desperately she tried to ignore his presence, forget forget FORGET the dream she had had the night before (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/892367/ ) and listen to what the Duchess was saying.
But she could feel Skaine's body heat just inches away from her back, and could hear the sound of his massive lungs breathing, and so she wasn't paying attention until the Duchess said, "Maggie, you are assigned to be my personal assistant during this journey. This means you will take care of everything I don't have time for, including making schedules, running errands, preparing my clothes, etcetera. Do you understand?"
Maggie nodded her head vigorously, but she started to feel somewhat panicked. What journey? Where were they going? Was Skaine going too? What had she agreed to?
