Thought I would show people my WIP of my latest artwork featuring Dakaura.
Usually I colour using just the Faber-Castell Polychromos (the round single coloured ones) but I bought some colouring pencils from WHS Smiths (the hexagonal two-coloured ones), as I had used their own brand of watercolours before and they were brilliant. The regular colouring pencils are proving just as good.
So I thought I would mix them together to see how they worked and they work wonderful for blending all the colours together. Even though Dakaura's colour scheme consists of just 6/7 colours I actually use about 14-15 with just the polychromos alone due to undertoneing and shading - so using both I will have used about 30 different pencils just for this piece... wow.
This is probs about an hour's (if not more) worth of colouring.. oh the time and devotion I give!
