Be afraid! Im strong, and scary, and bawk!
Yeah yeah, Hercules... sure, whatever! X>
Yes, this is a BALD EAGLE! No, he's not bald yet, hes not even one year old for crying out loud! Full grown, but not in his adult plumage yet. Big, scary, and a totally awesome dear eagle that is as sweet as can be! :>
And... he's named after the aircraft, not the mythological figure. All our birds were named after aircraft this year, including Boeing, Spitfire, Jet, and Rocket.

Ah, ok, bird abatement stuff. You're in Canada so you guys have great freedom to use bald eagles for falconry. I worked with an imprint bald eagle for 6 years... best friend I ever had. Enjoy your feathered friends! If you ever need medical help, let me know and I'll do my best to help remotely. I have a few folks that consult with me from up there. I'm based in Washington state (looks like you are in southern BC). And, hey, maybe I could stop by and see your birdies some time?! I go up and hang out with David Hancock on occasion so it wouldn't be much farther. :>
Easiest way to see the birds I work with is to visit our education centre in Duncan, BC. They're the ones I work for at the various job sites across the country. :> Thank you though! Its always awesome hearing tales and advice from fellow falconers/rehabbers/breeders/etc, which is the biggest thing I learned in 2012 when it comes to working with birds. Everyone has a different take on it, and the best thing to do is to pick up whatever knowledge you can, where you can, and incorporate the best things into a solution that works for the birds and yourself. What may work for others isn't always what works for you! ^v^
