"You wanted this right? Lots of sugar, little bit of cream.", came the voice from the recently recruited Rissa A. Kennedy. Jill Valentine looked up from her stack of reports, saw the rookie and coffee, and smiled wide and thankful. "You didn't have to...", she replied, taking the warm stirofoam cup.
"Well they don't have anything for me to do yet. I finished my tests and the training I need fo far. They're still getting me into the computer system." Rissa smiled, settling into a chair beside the lock pick master. "See, no badge."
She waved her hand over the empty spot on her bullet proof vest, just over her right breast. Jill nodded, sipping her coffee once, enjoyed the sweet taste and sipped it again. "At least they gave you your uniform."
"Yeah, at least" Rissa looked herself over.
Typical straight legged dark blue pants with a thin blue line running down each side. They were tucked neatly into her black combat style boots, along with the laces she had tied up tight. One black leather belt held up her pants and kept her dark blue botton up shirt tucked in. Another belt held a holster, cuffs, mace and other items of choice around her waist.
On the sleeves of her uniform were the R.P.D. logos, sewn into the fabric.
She always wore her bullet proof vest, until it was really too hot for it.
Over the left breat of the vest, there in its holster was a large combat knife. On the right, the empty space for her badge, and on the back of the vest, a holster for a shotgun.
She smiled to herself, remembering how her older brother said she probably looked like Rambo.
"Well, I guess you can look forward to it when you get here.", she told him. Leon only laughed, wished her luck at work and hung up.
"Thanks for the coffee," Jills voice snapped her out of her trance.
"No problem." Rissa sat back in her chair, looking around the room: Chris and Joseph sat across the room chatting away at whatever it was, Barry sat at his desk, sipping coffee and nibbling at a donut, and Brad Vickers was over at the radio, listening and checking up on the Bravo team.
Rissa looked over to find their captain, Wesker, starring straight at her. Or at least it looked that way.
One could never quite tell because he always wore sunglasses, eyes hidden and unreadable.
The room was silent, save for the quiet chat between Chris and Joseph, Brad connection to the-
"What!? Bravo team team report!", he shouted into the mic.
Rissa jumped up and hurried to Brads side. "What's going on?", Wesker asked, casually walking towards them.
Brad unplugged the head phones, filling the room with static.
"Emer...landing...the forest...thin...forest atta...us! Do...copy?" Came Captain Enricos voice.
"I copy Bravo team. Do you need assistance? What is your location? Over."
"Middle...Racc...forest...some...out here...need help...for...mansion."
At the sound of this Captain Wesker jumped into action." Brad find out their exact location then start up the bird. Redfield and Burton, guns and ammo. Valentine and Frost, first aid and miscellanious. You have three minutes, go!"
The STARS scattered out of the room, leaving Kennedy, Wesker and Vickers.
"Kennedy!" The sound of her own name startled her. "Ready for a field trip?"
"Really? Like, I'm coming with you guys?" Rissas eyes widened with excitement.
Wesker smiled, that cool controlling grin. "We might need you.", he said.
And he would. She was new, young, naive and probably easily persuadable.
"Get your gear and get up to the helipad,"
Rissa saluted," Yes sir!", and took off headigf for the locker room.
She rushed in, spinning the combination into the lock and throwing the door open.
She grabbed a side pack, filled it with all the ammo she had, save for a clip and some shells.
She threw it over her shoulder and grabbed the shotgun off the bottom of her locker. She loaded it and slung it into the back holster. Next she grabbed her standard 9mm Beretta, shoved the clip in it and stuffed it into the holster.
Rissa scanned the locker and came across the picture of her and her brother. He was about 6 in the picture, holding her lovingly in his arm. She was probably 2 or 3.
She grabbed that and stuffed it down her vest safely.
"Everything?...Everything!"
She had just came out of the doors to the helipad, seeing Jill climb up into the bird. Wesker waved her on, motioning to hurry. She jogged over and climbed into the cabin.
"Go Vickers!" Chris called out, and the copter lurched, lifting off.
Barry checked his Colt Python, sliding a full clip into it.
Chris was organizing and handing out ammo, first aid kits and so on.
Jill and Rissa both were throwing their hair up and Wesker sat watching them all, plotting and sceming in that little blonde head of his...
