Another SHOCKING (yet TRUE) story! With special guest star
nevadafurry!
The game in question is the second edition of DESCENT: Journeys in the Dark. It's a fun fantastic board game of dungeon exploration, but
djarums didn't seem to approve of the Overlord (the guy controlling all the bad guys and whatnot) winning! He thought the game was broken.
HE THOUGHT WRONG.

Ah, it is a fine wine between players' and the Game Master, or old terms Greg. "The Dungeon Master" Give and take, old rules, new.
Such a paradox is the conundrum of current state, the story must go on! Unless you need to school someone, then a patient stare, and the out flow of a relative and creative alternative! Our bane, our force, none shall equip themselves in enough monster truck force.
EGGS!

Totally reminded me of this BB classic (back when stereotypes were funny)

I'm suddenly reminded of my Dungeons and Dragons sessions... It seems easier for the DM until you actually try it yourself.
A speech problem/stammer mixed with ADD tends to create a DM that sounds something like:
"O-okay, you go into a ma... no... you walk flippantly into a ro-... w-wait... no... What was a saying? Right, yeah! The boss... he uhm... oh, he's already dead..."
Yeah, I'm not gonna be one any time soon -_-

Ah, I have EXACTLY the same situation, just that it never happens in the introductionary "First Blood" scenario.
I mean, seriously, that scenario is so damn easy on the heroes that an overlord managing to win deserves it.
...but I have the paradoxical situation that I both always get pushed to play Overlord AND have everyone complain that it is broken / the overlord is overpowered... ^^ ;
...and a friend of mine who sometimes played the overlord gets utterly wasted most of the time (and when he did not, there were ever escalating player mistakes in the campaign).
