Commission for Reggie Speakman of his character, Hurtful, walking around the streets in the dead of a cold night. I absolutely *loved* doing this commission and had a blast painting it! I especially loved painting the snow and it was great capturing this character. I also must admit, Cowboy Bebop totally inspired this piece (snow instead of rain), so I listened to the OST over and over while painting this. :) Can you find the scene that inspired this piece? :)

I love this one! You did excellent with the lighting, and the background is fantastic, you can really tell it's icy out. :)
One minor nitpick, and I wouldn't even mention it if I hadn't seen it in a couple of your pieces so far, the lamp posts are casting a reflection but not a shadow, especially not around their bases where they go into the ice. They'd look a lot more grounded with ground shadows. Some of your shadows could use a little bit more definition too, the part where his shirt goes under his jacket (on our left) seems a bit too light given how dark everything else is, for example. All minor stuff though. n.n

In all sincerity, this is one of the best pieces of fur art I've ever seen. I shall hold this as a standard now to which I'll compare other pieces and commissions. And rarely do I feel an emotional reaction to fur art - most of it is superficial or based around humor or elated feelings. But this made me stop for a second.
It really is wonderful.
