So much strangeness and mystery. I also really like the kind of mental progression through out the story and the way of thinking Topsy had in trying to interact with the others. This is a very well written section and I cant wait to read the second that ties up the entire series of events with a nice bow.
Thanks. I spent a lot of time trying to get into Topsy's head and trying to see things as he would, with no outside references.
But I haven't started writing Part II yet, so please don't hold your breath while waiting XD. But I do promise that I'm going to tie up the loose ends of the story.

I havn't commented on this story, but I gotta say, I want more! You've instilled a deep desire to know what kind of experiment is going on with these dogs, and why. What happens to them after they're taken? I can understand the control groups, but are they related to the same experiment, or different ones? You can bet I'll be watching for answers!
You'll have to wait for until I get around to writing Part II for your answers. But I feel confident enough to say that the two packs are not in the same experiment, But they are related. That's part of the plot for Part II
As for where they are going, well so far all we've seen is the bare outsides of the research buildings. In Part II, we'll be taking a look at what actually is inside the facilities and the environments that are provided for the dogs.

I'm afraid that I'm going to need to ask for a bit of clarification of your question. Do you mean are they literally dead as in everyone in the last season of Lost? I hope I can assure you that that was most definitely not the twist I had in mind for this story
If you are asking about the state of Part 2, I am sorry to say that I have less firm ground to stand on. I've meant from the start to get around to finishing it eventually, and I have a few chapters done too, but far from the whole thing and I see now that's its been an astounding 3 years since I posted this, far longer than I intended when this went on hiatus :dunno: I can only apologize for taking so long with it and can only say that I do still hope to finish it eventually.
