I mentioned in an earlier post that there's at least one U.S. bird going up against eight Japanese planes during the Tora! Tora! Tora! demonstration; that choice is this P-51D Mustang!

To be more specific, this Mustang is named Gunfighter w/ a serial number of 44-73264. It's owned by the Commemorative Air Force (Great Plains Wing) in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
