My scanner is, at best, serviceable, so this was taken with my camera, which only fares marginally better. What I'm saying is, the original is much more vivid without light blotching, and I cannot justify the cost of a really good true-color scanner.
In any case, this is the first really good traditional media piece I've done. I'd really like to FIND a place where I can scan it closer to its true colors but I honestly don't think I can find a local place, in which case, I'd like to try putting this in a convention art show sometime.
I screwed up on the sky like I knew I would (I need to invest in some watercolors) so part of it is redone with oil paint. Most of the picture was made using prismacolor markers and color pencils, as well as copic multiliners for the inks plus some other inking brushes I have.

I don't know if anyone has noticed this or said this, but I like how you put attention and detail into everything...
Like the fact that part of the ladder has actually be ripped/broken off... yet the bolt and whatnot is still there. Great job, it's minor things like that that real bring 'realism' into an otherwise non real world.
Love all the expressions too, overall great pic. Nice job with the colors ;p

Very excellent picture!
It'd be lovely to see this at the Anthrocon Art show. http://www.anthrocon.org/faq/artshow if you're interested.
