that is really cool! really like the details you were able to put in with the carving and paint.

Thank you! Carving it first made it much easier to paint because I knew the tall parts had to be brighter than the low parts. It's really easy to paint a 3D representation when you actually have one.

That makes a lot of sense, I will keep that in mind. I've had to shutdown my shop over the winter due to cold, but have been using the time to teach myself more art and painting. I've recently picked up an airbrush with the idea of painting some of my work. It will be good to get back out to try some of it! I am looking forward to see what you do with the tricycle badge as well.

A cool technique with the air brush is to cut V marks into it, spray one color on one side of the V marks, and spray another color onto the other side. It makes the effect that when you turn the project the color changes. It's nifty.

Not really. I'm working with a guy from the Ren Faire who wants me to care 4 figures for him to make pewter copies of to sell at his booth. I swear I'll be open again by next MFF though. If I work hard enough I should be able to have a piece like this done for that too.
