Oh, I've seen some blue tigers but that's the first green one! :D And I must say I like it better than the original. There's more contrast and he just got more attitude somehow. ^^

and i think its the DARK green what makes him get some attitude sense the color BLACK add some attitude to almost anything and the DARK green is a close color to BLACK

And yeah, I figured it had something to do with the darker colors. It would be a bit hard to make something intimidating when they're light blue or pink or something. :D
