Comparison between fox (left) and coyote (right) canines.
Fox is far more thinner and they come to more of a curve, hooked for catching small prey and holding on, Both the fox and coyote have very similar diets, but the coyote is able to hunt slightly larger prey, although they DO eat their fair share of mice. Coyote taper a lot more and get fairly thick towards the center.
This was a fairly small coyote tooth, they tend to be larger, but for the sake of comparing in shape I picked out one roughly the same size.
The fox teeth are also less wide than coyote, for some reason fox teeth are often discoloured, I've looked for many in online stores and they always seem to be grey or browned.
I AM looking for more fox teeth, claws and other small bones, I can use any teeth, not just canines, if you have some and would like to trade let me know!
