The orderly had been sent in as to bring in a light meal and re-hydration, she had been informed that the patient was awake as well as little mobile. However, that was all she had been given as per warning went...there was no mention that the lizard had successfully freed itself from restraints. So she was more than a little surprised, to say the least, that not only was the patient threatening her life but also clearly showing more intelligence than the body told upon first look. However, panic would not serve her well and so she recomposed herself from the light shock she'd been in for a brief moment of time. She slowly inhaled and looked up to the lizard's elongated face before speaking, “Kill me and concerning yourself with me raising alarm will be the least of your worries.”
Her eyes narrowed at the woman, to express that she was not pleased with the response she had gotten, “I am in no mood to play, 'Who has the bigger dick and can sway it more?', with you...nor for you to test how many buttons you push with me before I decide to eat you instead, it's been a while since I've had human.” She grinned slightly, baring her sharp teeth within her maw and then adding a lick of her lips to emphasize her non-veiled threat. “I am going to cut straight to the point; I need information and if I have to dig into your brain to get what I want...if you have anything useful...you are not going to remember your own name by the time I'm done.” It didn't surprise her that he had hired staff that didn't scare easy, surprised perhaps, but not any that would piss or shit themselves upon encountering something not in the normal.
She didn't move, not from fear but simply having a desire to live more than a day and still not quite sure to what she felt pressed up against her throat. Until she could get a better look at it and know what she was dealing with, she was better to remain exactly where she was for now. As the lizard clearly expressed annoyance with her, she furrowed her own eyebrows to do the same and looked straight into the bi-colored eyes of the reptile, “I'm just an orderly here, I don't speak with the boss directly...so it's not like you would get far without further assistance and you can only take so many other staff out before it's discovered that you aren't here.”
It was clear to her that she was going to have to, 'go fishing' now and it didn't sit well with her, she hated doing it. Not because of the invasive portion of it but because it took anywhere from five minutes to an hour...or sometimes more...to find what she wanted, depending on the person's thought trails. Time she did not have to waste, particularly since it was unknown to how long she would have to use her telepathic capacity, before the guards outside...or at least she assumed were guards...became nosy to what was going on inside the room. Oh well, she figured that if she could get something...it was better than nothing, “...we're doing it the hard way I see. I hope you turn out well...Barbara.” Her eyes snapped shut and she slammed into the woman's unshielded mind like an avalanche coming over a pine forest, searching for information relating to the facility; it's location, the layout of it, security measures that she would have to get past and more importantly, how to get out of the room.
Barbara, often called 'Barbie' for short by her co-workers, felt pretty confident that the lizard was going to resolve to release her and attempt to 'play nice'. Oh how wrong she was, as the lizard spoke again and had no intent to be cooperative, she slightly worried if the reptile was serious in willing to eat her. Before she could ask to how her name was known, as she didn't speak it or wore a name tag, she felt a sudden wave of pressure slam into her brain's backside. Suddenly she felt memories literally being 'pulled' up to focus without her doing it, her eyes shut as she grimaced from the oncoming nausea and realized what was happening. The patient was not only physically strong but as well as capable of mind probing, or rather...extracting, in this case! She tried to resist the invasive ability but it was in vain as she had no training to oppose it and thus the information she gave, unwillingly, to the overgrown iguana gave everything that was necessary for escape.
She knew that the orderly wouldn't be able to go far in the base, as the position granted direct contact with patients but that was really all their duties entailed...they were sort of in-house combination of doctor and nurse's aid. Once she could not find anything of pertinent importance to what she wanted, she left Barbara's mind and in doing so...she quickly pulled the weapon from her neck but not slicing it. Killing the orderly was not what she wanted, namely for the blood spillage that she would not be able to effectively remove for her next objective. Instead, a crack of the air was heard to while her tail moved through it and the flat side of her barb hit its target; the side of the orderly's head.
