Yeah, I'm the same way. I LOVE drawing macro, but those buildings just get in the way.
And I must say, you draw the most adorable (if not devious) macro stuff.
That's why, when i do go for macro stuff, it's usually trees, little huts or houses, and other things that aren't as complicated as those pesky city buildings.

I understand your chagrin, but you don't always have to use buildings to show scale. Just throw in anything that anyone can instantly look at and go "ooh, I know what size that is, that means this fur is five times bigger!" Trees, phoneboxes, the odd sheep in a field, even a pile of hay or something, just so long as there's something next to the macro that we can judge scale by.
It's kinda funny to me that Macro is almost always associate with the city, as of nothing else could be used to promote the size scale. It is hard though I'll agree with you on that point, city scape and building in general are tough, especially when you with perspective
Nice pic though, I like um bending down like that.

For some reason I find the crushed car really funny here. It's like... the cat is going to have to move from that spot to finish the picture, yet he's still standing on the car just because.
Also, I like the character's crouched over pose. For some reason the character kind of touching itself (not like that, shut up) makes it seem more 'tangible' and believable despite being a nonhuman cartoon thing.
