Akuma and Rajja had heard of the fabled myth of the paradise in the mountain. All the books they had read and all the research they had completed told them that it was possible for such a place to exist. They wanted to find it.
So they packed up their climbing gear, took climbing lessons and charted out the mountain they thought would hold this paradise. They found the right one, in the Northern Wastes. It was a beautiful but very deadly mountain range. The jagged peaks looked the mandible of a long dead creature. Blizzards and ice-storms always raged in the wily mountains. The wind was enough to knock over the largest of the Flesh-Eating Grandroks.
Akuma and Rajja trudged through the snow at the base of the mountain and took a long pause and look up at it. They could see a hole in the mountainside! Could it be an entrance or a home of some terrible, long-forgotten creature? They took a look at each other and then nodded. They trudged through the snow and wind, falling and slipping here and there. They climbed along the side of what seemed to be a monster. Digging their ice-cleets into the hard-packed snow and ice they made their way around the side and stopped at the entrance of the cave. Akuma walked in first, she'd rather let herself get eaten than Rajja. She pulled out a flare from her bag and looked around the cave. The wind howling and screaming past them the whole time, making it hard to see ahead of them. They trudged through the darkness of the windy cave for what seemed to be forever. Suddenly a piercing bright light burst forth from the darkness. It was as if a sleeping dragon had awoke, training it's one firey eye on them. Akuma stopped and Rajja bumped into her.
Rajja yelled through the deafening wind, "What do you see?!" Akuma rose her hand to shield her eyes from the light. Then she yelled back to Rajja, "It's beautiful!" The two had found the fabled paradise. They found a heaven in the darkness.
Well I drew this after looking at shit-loads of Frank Frazetta's artwork, about 2 in the morning. His art always inspires me and well I drew this and then made the story up afterwards. It wasn't planned one bit. It all fell into place and I wanna paint this. Paint the scene. That'll be something big for me. Anyways. This is just a rough sketch of what I wanna do. I'll probably ink it and color it with colored pencils or something. It's just awesome, I think.
