Frito’s “civilian clothes”. I got lazy and didn’t draw his legs in a catish way, so his tail looks way too long, and he looks way too short, but I was more focusing on color scheme/clothing style. The flannel was my wife’s idea, though I’m not real sure about it, because I really don't think it suits him. he's always struck me as a leather-jackety type dood.

I adore him so much! I actually rather like the flannel on him. I dunno, it just seems to fit what I've come to think of as a pragmatic type of guy.(I do not know this for certain, seeing as I've only seen images of this character, and not read much about him.) Looks like he could be fixing a car or doing carpentry or something. "Guy stuff."
It's funny that you're worried about the legs, which weren't the issue that drew my eye. It was the small hands. A hand should be big enough to essentially cover your face. Bottom of the palm at your chin, end of middle finger near hairline. You have the physiology of what they look like down, but size seems to be a recurring thing. (Then again, you might have small reference- my own hands are tiny, so I use them for ref way less than I do others'.)
I have the opposite problem, admittedly. I often go past these specs and make my characters have huge hands. Usually on purpose, but sometimes I just fuck up.
Seriously, though that look on his face is so cat-like. He must be in the sun!

Ah yes, hands. My arch nemesis. It is a recurring problem for me, and I do use my own hands quite often as reference (I too have tiny hands.) Perhaps I should take your approach and use something else for reference. I have tried in the past to make them bigger, and then I end up drawing shovels for hands. Lmao So everyone looks like Rachmaninoff. Thanks for giving me an honest critique. It's something I want to work on, and having your perspective on it will help me think on how to remedy it, I expect.
As for Frito--he is very pragmatic. He's a "man's man" as they say, and is always doing stuff in the garage, whether it's fixing a car/tank/jet/himself (he's a cyborg, afterall!) or having a beer or a smoke. Now that I go back and look at it, the plaid looks quite nice on him. Maybe I'll try it in a different color in the future.
Thanks for your awesome feedback.
