When I started to get interested in art, I got used to india ink adobe any other material. My mom realized I wanted to do art like her, so she lent me her india inks that she used in a small art course she went to back in the day.
So, I pretty much do everything with india ink when I started to do art.
Though, only lineart really. Then I discovered my felt tip markers and stopped using india ink for lineart, which was good because it was always a mess :B
I keep my india inks at hand for when I need to rest from the tablet, or feel like staining my hands a bit with color.

Ink can take a minute to dry and don't stain everything if you dare to touch it, so it takes some patience.
It's not difficult, just...hard to get used to. I remember staining my arms and hands every time I did something with them when I was a kid, but after a while you learn to deal with the ink's timing.
If you want to use it to paint, like in watercolors, then it becomes a little more difficult. It needs water to help it in the paper, and you have to work on layers with shading/light. Like watercolors, really. But less expensive. lol
It's a good material, though. Cheap, but good.
Thanks for the information and advice!
