Heh, this is kinda funny because I was just playing this game where one of my character's abilities was to summon a raven to his aid. Somehow it was able to shoot spikes at things. I didn't question it, because he whupped up on those pesky gargoyles, which let me save mana and frustration on shooting them myself.

Yeah... not exactly something everyone would understand. See, I've been playing this modification for a game called Heretic. One of the player classes in said modification is The Hunter. He's got bows, crossbows, you know. Things like that. One of his special skills is the ability to summon a raven that will come to his aid in combat. As the raven just appears out of nowhere right on top of you, I was reminded of this as this person has birds forming out of their person. Sort of like The Hunter does.

As for the gargoyle bit? There's enemies in the game that are somewhat annoying due to their small size making them somewhat difficult targets and tendency to get in the way when trying to avoid the attacks of their more dangerous brethren.
