Song of Creation is a mixed media piece painted for an upcoming charity auction where the art school and the artist share the proceeds. The auction isn't for a few months though, and I am trying to raise funds for the more immediate need: getting my girl's ass up to Canada so I can marry her. So I'm going to offer this piece for sale here first for the next week, ending Saturday at the latest. Here's the deal... Asking price for the auction starts at $90, which gives me $45. First person to PM me (not comment) with an offer of $50 or more gets it. The highest and earliest offer wins, buyer pays shipping. I will be offering him as well on DA, and the winner will be decided between the two galleries by the time/date stamps on the pm's. Payment by PayPal only, as I can't hold the piece waiting and hoping for a money order to maybe arrive if I should be sending it along to the auction for cataloging. Don't feel bad, I'm making more art for the auction even as we speak so they won't lose out in the end.

Details: Song of Creation is about 5.5x11" watercolour, watercolour pencils, Prismacolours, and ink on 140 lb watercolour paper. It comes matted in black with painted details, framed in gold. Total size is about 8.5x14". Be aware that the scan is somewhat washed out, and the detailing in the tiger cub's paws and white areas is greater in person and there are subtle tones in the background. It is of course not watermarked as you see here. This is a tiger cub with wings patterned after a monarch butterfly, and in the background is a henna pattern such as one might put on a hand to celebrate various rites of passage--best known for weddings and particular holidays.
