I remember that AU story and really liked it. Nice to see this work. In fact, I prefer the AU TMNT stories at the moment. They give me the feeling of not being part of that big and sometimes crazy main TMNT fandom.

Uhm, I guess I still like both AUs and the canon stories but it depends on other things, like overly twisted stuff is not my cup of tea I guess, hehe.
Glad you still like my AU, to be honest it is dear to me probably like how Rain is for Andi. I've worked a lot on the plot, did researches and all. I even sketched the 1st 5 pages not long before I deleted the Raaset gallery. People didn't seem to be interested in it anyway. XD;
But maybe when I will have incerdible lot of freetime i go back to this XD

The problem is that people rather want to see crappy "classic" fanart style than reading or watching at good AU stories. In fact, I never liked to see the guy's genders changing, like some people made one of the four greens a female. In YOUR special case, it worked, because it is a complete different mood. Like in Andi's story, where the four turtles aren't even blood related, only two of them. And then, I especially like the fact that both your stories have that historical background. While Andi mostly depends on the classical history of the Edo period, your story is so mysterious with the dragon anthros- I really loved your dragon designs and still do. I remember how I tried coloring one of your linearts of the "element dragon" series- but failed. Maybe I still have it on my computer, though. Some days ago, I found an ooooold Doni picture I never uploaded on dA. Please don't tell Andi, but if I'll find time and the spirit for working on it, I might upload it either here or at dA later...MUCH later.

I like canon stories too and at the first time I had aversion towards AUs because they seemed OOC at times. But then there were some REALLY good one so my prejudice and aversion was gone for good. XD
Same problem with gender-change: most of the time sooo OOC. So I'm glad that people like you, who usually dislike still could accept my version X3
Yes, yes hiystorical bg is really much fun! I also like read stories where I can get snippets from different times and eras - and Japanese ones are amongst the top favs. ^o^

Yeah, it's a looong story. So you became a turtlefan after I've left the fandom? I see. (sorry I kind of lost track of time around that period).

It's the 2nd version of the AU. In fact it is sooo farfetched from the original TMNT story that it easily stand as original if I changed their names and maybe do them as humans. No one ever could guess what I based it of, lolz.

In the 2nd version Mikey is a "mutt" Dragon with Chinese father and Japanese mommy (I have their designs, little different look). He was raised hidden cause nice papa dragon kind of wants to take away his pearl what contains Dragon's power. He has two siblings, a brother and a sister (sister is Karai btw, they all have a turtle and a dragon form, too). If I was to make them human I would feel sorry for their turtle form because I liked their design a lot. XD

Long story short, Mikey has to run away and he bumps into samurai Leo along the way. Oh and he looses his voice and he is stuck into turtle form too because of an evil magic. D=
(lolz it's like Little Mermaid, XD)
And they have buuunch of troubble because Leo is hell uptight and cold while Mikey knows no personal space or manner growing up in the wild alone. XD

Yeah they are totally fun but also very romantic, too in my opinion . Just perfect for my taste. Though I have to admit at first I was more into RD, it is all Heiros' fault hooking me - their picts and comis were irresistable! D=

I guess partly I agree. But true that on the other hand I disagree - there are many things that knowing it hurts yet I wouldn't give back this knowledge even if I could. Maybe because all these experiences makes me who I am XD (oh so phylosophycal, am I not XD; )

Well I love art in general! I do enjoy canary alot I admit, but I also really love what else people can come up with! I find it very interesting! Sometimes I wish I could create cool characters in interesting settings XD and then getting people to actually CARE about the original things is even more discouraging.. I admire those who venture out in their own :3

For me making characters comes from childhood - I've been doing that for fun all my life... But only recently is when I started to make it into actual stories, hehe.
Did you ever play pretend games? Most of my life was about that: playing fanatsy stories with my siblings - that's where it all roots for me (and where my passion for art roots too, hehe).
