Having been playing FFXI for a few months, I've found many things wrong w/ it. One of which is that there are "no female Galka"; which bugs me. There is no such thing has a sentient species [w/in reason] that is one gender and one gender alone [I suppose that since mithra male are rare, it's okay for them]; and I'm not accepting this schlock about "ressurection" or howe'er Galka reproduce. Not good enough.
So I thought to myself, "Golly gee, if there are no female Galka, I'll just have to make one!" And so I did, and here she is. And since Square-Enix [whose credibility is getting shakier and shakier] ne'er made any specifications to female Galka [since according to them they don't exist], I took unlimited creative license. Of course, I had to keep respect to the Galka male, so I thought of "Amazonian + Dwarf" idealisms. The larges muscular stature, and trademark gorilla-esque upper limbs [w/ only 4 digits]. And thinking w/ the Dwarven aspect, I gave her just a bit of body hair [see the goatee?] which I think gives her a bit of character.
And as you can blatantly see I kept respects to Squenix's notions towards clothing, or lack thereof: females have less clothes than males, and non-human-esque wear less than human-esque. Keeping this mind, I made her as scantly dressed as possible while still keeping to some sense of covering. And as a final touch of "Charm", I've her as a BST [Beastmaster, or in this case Beastmistress]. Don't blame me, blame Squenix.

Sorry, kind of an old thing, but... slugs may be a bit primitive, but they are living things able to feel pain (why else the ability to hife their eyes or hide in their shells?) and they lack genders. Also Galkas have been said to reproduce through reincarnation. I don't quite get the idea, but hey, it's in Budhism, so how can I argue?! Besides, I find this to be an original gimmick. Sure, call it a gimmick if you will, but I like it.
.... but still, I play a male Elvaan..
