The one on the right is very clearly the side view of a speaker with sound waves coming from it.
The one on the left is... Um... Looks like a dogeared piece of paper with something on top of it. What is that, a paint can spilling turquoise paint? Oh! It's supposed to be a turquoise speaker seen at an angle.

I don't have a problem with the blue speaker, but it is definitely way too small for me to see well at its original size. I have no idea what the paper behind the speaker is supposed to represent though. If anything, I'd expect a music note or waves coming from the speaker.
I personally never had a problem with it. As far as FA icons go, I just wish there was a distinct icon for Flash files with sound as opposed to Flash files without sound. When I'm listening to a music submission and checking other submissions, it gets annoying to have to pause the music submissions because I open a Flash file that has sound with autoplay. ><
