A little something I put together last night.
I've been mulling over Kevin Dart (Sym-Bionic Titan, Yuki 7, a bunch of online shorts, Randy Cunningham, Possibly Paperman?)/(kevindart.tumblr.com) and trying to figure out how he makes his stuff and I found this handy tutorial (http://www.kevindart.com/images/tut.....als/hdm01.html) and thought I'd try out something similar. It was also a chance to explore a bunch of the different brush settings.
The font is from Lost Type Co-Op (http://www.losttype.com/) which has some AWESOME free fonts up.

I feel like I still haven't exactly figured out how to integrate the torn edge brush into my work flow just yet (how do I want to use it, what edges are textured, how much texture, when does it make sense), but for the most part I'm really happy with this. The texturing is alot more subtle than most of my other stuff, but the values are kinda blown out. I feel like it's a step in the right direction though :3
