It's the year of the Snake and who should I find while doing yard work but this cute little guy. It's a young Southern Ringneck snake. I moved it to a safer part of the yard away from where I was working so I wouldn't hurt it. These snakes can sure raise a stink, literally. When scared, they won't bite but secret a musky liquid that smells really bad. I almost kept it for a pet as I've had one before. But I didn't think that it would be fair, so I let it go.
