The art of the Violin - Caprice #3a, Locatelli
So, this composer is an interesting one! He was one of the great violin virtuosos of his time, and this set of compositions, titled 'The Art of the Violin' op.3 likely inspired Paganini to compose his famed 24 caprices.
This one is the first caprice from the third concerto. I hope you all enjoy it!
I was surprised by this picture yesterday: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9894103/ and I thought this piece to be the perfect accompaniment for viewing! I hope you all enjoy it~

Thank you! And yikes, I wrote Vivaldi instead of Paganini in the description, that's fixed now, heh. I enjoy Paganini's caprices a little more because they have much more emotional depth, these ones are rather etude - like, but if I'm right this was the most difficult music until Paganini came around and rocked the world.
Indeed it is, though musically it's not all that complex. Just a tonne of arpeggios, heh, that being said, it's still quite hellish to play! I love how the melody is thrown from register to register. Easily able to dislocate parts of one's body. For me, it was the elbow that popped out of place.
