I love red huskies and it occurs to me I've not done a female one every. So a little bit of scrap board gets to boggie down:) 6x10 watercolour on illustration board.

very cool and again with the watercolors, what do you do to them? They won't listen to meee!!! jk they are fun to use but I've never seen someone that can keep them in control in such a small area with so many colors without having them run about the place, like ornery kids.
Like every other medium it's a matter of practise, practise, practise. If it helps, once I have the linkwork inked and the pencils erased. I start out with a large brush, lots of waterdown paint and lay in the basic areas of colour. I let that dry and then use a slightly smaller brush and layout down the shadows. Then just keep working smaller and more detailed and with less water as I go along. Sometimes when I'm done I break out the acrylic ink and add in some highlights. Hope that helps!
thank you very much for the reply, most of it was in jest but more so to add to the impact of saying that your water coloring rocks because I know you have to get tired of just... "gaw, I wish I could do that..." I do practice with the water colors but for the most part, it's just the pencil for me; "partially colorblind". And yes your input should definitely help with my next watery endeavor, most of the time I inadvertently add too much water to the mix and I get a bleeding mess.
again thank you very much!
again thank you very much!
