So yeah... BEN...
Last evening I was feeling a little crappy so I decided to draw a little something as a form of stress relief. Don't know why, but I decided to doodle out Ben from the infamous Majora's Mask creepypasta. For those of you who somehow still don't know who Ben is go here to read the original story. You can also view some of the clips on Jadusable's YouTube channel.
And yeah, I know that by now the creepypasta's old as balls, and it's been beaten to death by everyone and their mother... still though, I'd rather like it. It's a genuinely good and creepy story based on video games, that's right up there with "Pokemon Creepy Black" and "Lavender Town Syndrome". Most important of all is the fact that it manages to stay somewhat compelling and realistic (as much as those kind of things can be realistic), in that it doesn't have to rely on overused cliches in order to sound spooky, like some shitty creepypasta out there like Sonic.EXE.
The only major gripe I have about this creepypasta is that it kickstarted an onslaught of mediocre (to say nothing of plain craptastic) LoZ-related creepypasta: 80% of stuff that can be found on Creepypasta wikia are either shitty BEN sequels, or equally shitty BEN clones. I mean, come on! Legend of Zelda series' got tons of stuff which could make a perfect story material. Try to come up with something original on your own for a change, instead of leeching off of someone else's success. :P
Anyway, back on topic: I started sketching this one out last evening. I wanted to upload it yesterday, but I was too tired, plus there were some minor elements I needed to work on still. Actually, IRL the drawing is tad brighter - when I scanned it, I messed around with some settings in Photoshop to make it a little darker. Think it looks okay.

Nice! If there's stuff I find Ben cool for, it's the following.
A, he's such a hard-assed Zelda fan that he won't part with his game even in death,
2, he's the only truly sentient character in a video game that you can communicate with and he can sincerely communicate back,
and last, he can jump to different pieces of technology.
