I know it's not the most flattering picture but I kind of like it. :)

This was taken a couple days after tornado storms sent a small branch crashing through my double paned bedroom window and hit me in the head leaving a nasty gash on top of my head. We ended up with with glass gouged all over our bedroom walls and glass covering all the room and a bit into our closed bathroom. Along with the head laceration (that bleed like crazy) I got broken glasses and a lightly bruised forehead. IronTiger got a bruise on his side that we think came from one of the pine cones projected into the room.

My Dad always taught me to be strong and I think he'd have been proud of me. Despite the window exploding in my face terrifying me, despite loosing so much blood I felt weak and ill I still kept thinking straight and making sure things got taken care of. And a couple hours later when it got light outside I went out walking the campus to take pictures of the damage.

I've been more tired since the head wound but it is healing ridiculously well. We cared for it at home and used all natural surface treatments on it and a week and a half later it was closed up. It's still a little sensitive and will be a while till the shaved hair fully grows back.
