TANK units are unique in the fact that their design is made to withstand and take an incredible amount of damage as well as protect, rather than the usual functions of the female models which are often specialized in recovery missions of all sorts.

TANK stands for "Titanium Armored NucleoKore". The cores used in their design make it extremely difficult to infuse with the form and shape of the female units, hence the redesign into a male unit, so is not only aesthetic purposes. The TANK units use the regular 2 magic cores and 2 artificial cores. The extra artificial core is infused within the armor, giving them an extensive amount of protection against all sorts of attacks. Under rigorous testing, it was calculated that their armor can withstand 2.653 charges of the Golden Arc, which is a lot of damage in itself. The TANK units act as guardians much more efficiently than their female counterparts but their capabilities of counterattack are far smaller. This does not mean they are to be underestimated.
