Fluffyraptor has a new friend, and they're going for a fun little run in the forest together.
Somebody mentioned fluffyraptor, so it seemed like a good idea to draw him again. Particularly once this little idea popped into my head. Thought it would be fun to draw him together with one of my latest interests, the armadillo lizard. Little guy has never moved so fast, I'd bet!
Pretty much just a watercolour doodle, tossed together quickly because I felt like doing more than a sketch but less than a full detailed picture. I like it, hopefully you folks will too. Lemme know your thoughts! :3

...they're practically the same thing anyway.

Yay, raptorfluff is back. l3
I was thinking about him recently, cutie.
I love that spikeyscaled fellow -- something I liked about that recent pic of yours with the spikeyscaled lizard guy. A really cool rendition of a bearded-dragon-type of texture, something you don't see much, especially when so many artists forgo texture entirely so their furries and scalies alike are these smooth-skinned colored things with animal heads. x3

It'd be pretty tricky to get away with drawing an armadillo lizard with no texture... they's all spikes!
It always seemed a little silly to me that so many people avoid texture in their drawings. I thought half the reason we liked these guys is because of all the soft fluff they got on 'em, so why do we never get to see it? Just silly. x3

It's something you do especially well. I guess for what it's worth, it's a lot harder to make realistic looking texture~
And I suppose it depends on the person, too. some people like more humanlike features and faces and bodies and genitalia, others like more beastly and dog-dicks.
You do my fancy a fine justice, good sir. l3

I want to second this comment. I also don't understand all of the critters you can see on here with no texture. Even just a tuft here and there can get the message across, but a lot of folks instead draw their characters with no detail and with extra glistening-skinlike-shine. I appreciate the floof.
There's just something about fuzzy boobs...!

I guess I can understand not wanting to do a bunch of internal texture, but there' no excuse at all for not making the outline look at least a little fluffy! It's always creeped me out little bit to see characters like the one you describe... almost like a person wearing a skin-tight, animal coloured leather suit, even including the weird sheen that real fur just shouldn't have.
Not a fan, not a fan at all. x3

I've just been using the male pronoun for convenience, really. There's only one picture I recall where he's actually visibly male, for the rest it could really be either. It's not a single character either, each one's a little different and it's own character, so you can imagine whichever gender makes you happy. :P
The only way to make it obviously and specifically female would be to draw the naughtybits, which I'm not sure I really wanna do honestly!

So if you like armadillo lizards, how do you feel about..... these guys?

I really do enjoy your work and the cuteness of this is just incredible. "ITS SO FLUFFY I CAN DIE!~ *blushes and wiggles about*
I don't know why but it reminds me of a certain dragon from "How to train a Dragon" cause its so cute. (Toothless by face) just reminds me of those cartoons of yore where the animals always seemed to bond together no matter the size nor shape or sex just loving/caring for one another because of community and love. *Smiles*
Would be really cool as a print too. *erfs* Why you make such cute things Ru <3?

It's interesting that you see that kind of reaction, to be honest I can't see that at all x3 My intent was to have him just looking back and smiling, as if they're both having fun together. It's interesting how differently one picture can be interpreted among multiple people. :P
