Eevee's new evolution. My speculations for its type are light, heart/love, friend, or fairy. :P
I'm also kinda hoping that they're going with the X/Y genetics thing and there will be a male counter part. A lot of people are angry at that assumption but I think it'd be cute. I was mad in the beginning when Pokemon were given genders because there was no point. Obviously you need a male and female to reproduce, but that's in real life. A lot of things don't make sense in Pokemon, so genders just seemed unnecessary at the time. I'm used to it now though. It would be nice to see them do more evolutions based on gender among other things. If you're going to have genders, exploit the shit out of it. :P

Bulbapedia does not confirm a new type, and Google confirms that this is widespread rumor which, historically with the Pokemon community, generally means false. I'll run on the assumption that it's a Normal type until official confirmation.

Just like with Gallade, Mothim, and other Pokemon that are gender specific evolutions. I don't remember any others off the top of my head. Oh, right, and Frosslass. My three favorite gender-specific evolutions. :3 Especially Gallade. (Although having a male Gardevoir is just as awesome.)
Let's face it, humanoid pokemon are the weirdest to put genders on without changing their appearance massively, and at least they gave the Gardevoir line an alternate male evolution. :'T Plus there's certain pokemon I can only SEE as one gender just because they either look feminine or masculine, like I always think Espeon and Vaporeon should be female. Pbbth.

Love this new pokemon <3 It's given me hope on the next gen because i'm one of those damn 'gen wunners' lol .3.; I still think they should get rid of one of the bows, 2 just seems like they're going overboard with details, you know? D: And maybe have it to where the male has one bow on his chest (the one on the chest) and the female has the one on the ear (like the one on the ear o3o), you know? o:
Ohhh I didn't even think of the possibility of it being a female only pokemon! That would be so awesome!!! And I'm hoping there will be a second new evolution but I'm not sure because they are both usually announced at the same time. But maybe there is? That's a good theory. :)
