Many relationships start off with that really mushy, usually not real "puppy love," with both partners saying they love each other every 5 minutes of every day no matter where they are. My relationship with kinda started the opposite of that. It started off fairly slow while I figured exactly how to approach being in a relationship like this, and it seems like it's just kept picking up steam since. It's been over a year since we got together, and we've just kinda hit that puppy love stage in the past several months or so. So, I figured why not draw us as we would've looked around middle school, back when everyone would (or at least my school would) bring those little Valentine's cards for the class.

I often wonder what it would have been like if Roop and I actually knew each other back when we were younger (and if we were closer than 3 years apart which would've been a lot back then). When I think about it, I dunno if we would've really hung around with the same crowd, and I dunno if we would've really met let alone become good friends or got to the point where we are today. I didn't start having any sort of sexual or romantic feelings towards guys till I got to college, so we wouldn't have clicked that way. I guess it really took the magic of the internet to bring two people like us together.
