I made Bacon Roses, heart pancakes, heart Italian sausages, tried to make an egg heart but it didn't work so had to make an ordinary one..ah well, still looks yummy huh?
The hubby
enjoyed it all very much, along with a nice cuppa Creamy Nut Oolong Tea & Maple Syrup of course for the pancakes =^.^=
Pancake recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (or any other flavour you like/prefer)
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
2. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat.
4. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.
5. Brown on both sides & let them cool slightly.
6. Use cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes (I ate the outside bits left over LOL)
Italian Sausage Hearts.
1. Split open sausage, roll into balls & press into a cookie cutter.
2. Put in fridge to firm them up a bit
3. Cook them in the frying pan or grill
Bacon Roses.
1. Roll bacon into rose shape & use toothpick to secure.
2. Put them into a muffin pan, cook until done.
3. Take them out & place on paper towels until cool, then remove the toothpicks
4. Put a bamboo skewer into the bottom of each one then place into container in styrofoam.
NB: Or you can buy fakes plastic roses & then use the stems to make these even prettier like a bouquet of actual roses.

LOL, awww, I always share bacon...you're at FE this year right? Look out for me with some noms I am bringing along! Yes he did, a beautiful Claddagh necklace (a traditional Irish symbol for Love, Loyalty & Friendship that's usually a ring but they make other items for it too) & a very nice Chinese Takeout too as I had to work on St Valentine's Day & he had to do an overnight shift too.
