Dragons of Incense - Dammar
Dammar: When light meets Dammar's body, it breaks and reflects on the nearly crystalline surface of very bright yellow and browns.
Dammar unfurls a sweet, fresh and citrus like scent when being burnt. The smoke can become very dense when burnt in too big quantities. During the incense, Dammar brightens the mood and helps against sadness and melancholy. Its profound meaning is „torch“ and „light“ and leads back to its use and effect.
Together with me on the inspiring pathway of the Dragons of Incense, Dammar, is a breathtaking music piece composed by

Thank you so much for the inspiration and dedication you put into giving Dammar a real voice, and thank you for everyone whom you chose to become part of this too. <3
Dammar was the second idea for the Dragons of Incense series and also the hardest for me to accomplish. Back in 2008 I tried several concepts and designs yet without success. My imagination and feeling for this dragon didn't put down on paper and the way I envisioned him remained in my mind for many years. With Dammar, I dropped the series in 2008 and forgot about it.
Now, I had to face this task again and thought long about the nearly unfeasable shape and surface of the resin itself. Now that I accomplished that, the pathway for all the other dragons that are yet to come, is opened and Dragons of Incense will live on till its completion and hopefully long after. :)
Therefore, Dammar means a lot to me. He created the barrier which made me drop the project many years ago, but also opened the continuative pathway for me now to go on.
I've always had a fascination about incense and the beautiful atmosphere it can create. One could always find incense sticks or small floral copper bowls with resins and plants in my home. Whenever I came back from a journey, I lit charcoal and a selected mixture of herbs in a small bowl to announce my arrival. It's something I always loved doing.
Having incense makes me feel creative and at home.
Dragons have always fascinated me, so the idea was to merge those two fascinations to one to find out, if my vision matches my olfaction.
This is the second step of resurrecting an idea I had back in 2008 when I started designing dragons correlating plants and resins that we know as incense. I will design roughly 21 different dragons that each features plants and their distinctive scent and effect. This project is supposed to lead you through a very different olfactory journey whereas my own nose is my direct collaborator.
And there we go, it's back on its feet and planned thoroughly to actually make it into a book presenting all dragons in printed form. :] So, keep your eyes open!
Thank you so much for the support and looking! <3

You do such beautiful work on dragons. If I ever manage to find a job again I have plan of snagging a couple commissions from you if you happen to be taking them at that time. I have a couple of dragoness' that I would LOVE your help doing pieces of in their feral forms. But for now I will just have to settle for watching you do work for others and that's fun.

Congratulations on completing a 5 year journey, and ready to begin it anew.
I just wonder... every dragon deserves this treatment, complete with music as epic as what Fox Amoore has provided for Dammar. If there was a huge pack, combining the book, the music, and the incense, it would be heaven for those with an affinity to the draconic and olfactory.

You are such an inspiring light. Not unlike the light that shines through Drammar, in many ways. You light the world with such brilliance. Its great to see the conclusion at long last!
Both pieces together created such a wonderful impact. The spirit soars with such genius and talent at work.
Thank you again for the gift of your heart and skill!

Your ability to give such detail within your work to the point of nearly being able to touch the very cracks within the scales or to feel the beating of a heart from a red rivulet within a wing, can only be described as a master of your art. Dammar is further proof of this, after reading your description of "Dammar" the incense, he became so much more; never have I come across an artist who had the ability to link olfactory with visual. Between you and FoxAmoore, there is always magnificence to be had! <^.=.^>
