Within the story of Mirage and Kura there is a fox that makes an appearance every now and then. He is only known as the "Odd Tails". The reason is simply because of the number of its tails. At the ending of Mirages rampage a 6 tailed fox appeared when the peace time began. No one knew where this fox came from or why. But has always has been a symbol of good luck and peace. The first fox appeared and stayed in one region for 100 years and after disappearing for 6 year. It continued this cycle appearing in different regions around the world keeping a mainly silver or white coat.

The year Kura was born the fox showed up in her region. But with only 5 tails and far different fur color than the past foxes. Due to the groom prophecies surrounding Kura’s destiny told at her birth this fox was considered bad luck. And thus the giving the title "Odd Tails". The overall history of the fox is unknown and is filled with mystery. The same odd fox appears in Kura’s region a total of 5 times but not in a row.
